My Work Portfolio

Commercial Video Projects

I have had the great pleasure and honor of working with some amazing companies to produce video content for their businesses and  help them grow their client base. Here are a couple of my favorites.

Underwater Video Production

I love pushing myself to new and exciting adventures and coming up with unique services I can offer my clients. Loving the water for years and with my passion for making videos it was a natural progression to become a Dive Master. So I can offer another unique video and photography service to our clients that need underwater production work.

I have used my engineering skills to set up a  multi-cam underwater live stream for one of my clients. It involved the custom construction of waterproof cables and camera housings. This allowed me to connect the cameras back to the surface along with figuring out how to transmit audio from the diver’s full face mask so he could communicate with the people in their stream.

Some Other Projects

I’ve had the great fortune to work on many productions over the years. I have worked in a variety of different positions in the production industry. Giving me a working knowledge of each position. Allowing me to understand all of the different technical elements for each position that you need to know to make a production run smoothly.

My Photography

Valedictorian of My Graduating Class

This was definitely my biggest educational achievement ever. I was very proud of my accomplishment.  Through hard work and dedication you can achieve anything.

YouTube Tutorial

Sharing my knowledge is of upmost important to me. I am very passionate about help the next generation of industry professional grow their skill and knowledge base.  In my free time I enjoy creating short and informative tutorials for Social Media.  And for some reason people watch them.  Ending up with millions of views and thousands of subscribers.

In this tutorial I explain how use SwitchRes X to output your computer signal to your black magic switcher.

In this tutorial I explain how to use Track X, a Final Cut Pro X plug-in to motion track text to an object.

Lectures and Training

I’ve had a great pleasure to be a presenter at many different events I love to get to share my knowledge of the video production industry. I especially love working with the younger generation and watching them grow their passion and love for this industry.

Regional Emmy awards

One of my greatest honors was being asked to plan and produce the Regional Emmy Awards. There were a lot of moving parts and a lot of systems to manage and integrate into one another. It came out great.

Streaming, Broadcast, Programming & InstallationI

Here are some photos from projects I have worked on for my clients. I have provided planning, installation and programming of my clients equipment and networks. Letters of recommendation

Bob Soeder – Music minister for Saint Monica Parish Garfield Heights

I have known Sam Angello for about a year and a half. During this time, he has served our parish in a variety of ways. He is a unique individual, being multi-talented and willing to share his talents.

During the beginning of the Covid Epidemic, our parish administration explored the possibility of live streaming our weekend Masses to be viewed by the homebound. Sam’s name was surfaced by several individuals. When I contacted him, Sam was eager and willing to respond.

After assessing our situation, Sam made recommendations as to how we could best accomplish our goal. He was able to suggest the type of internet service that was needed in the Church building. Realizing our budgetary limitations, Sam made recommendations as to the equipment that would be needed and he researched and pointed us to where we could get the best deals on said equipment. Once we purchased and received all we needed, Sam came onsite to oversee the installation process of both the internet and equipment. When we were up and running, he again offered a generous amount of time to train me in the operation, and he did this all at no cost to our parish. Sam has also been gracious in donating time to monitor our live streamed services and periodically offers his help in fine tuning our endeavor. Sam also provided a lot of troubleshooting and problem-solving to help us integrate this new technology into our old church system which helped reduce the cost of the overall project.

In addition, Sam is a faith-filled individual who continually demonstrates his beliefs and good moral character. He is outgoing and gets along very well with other members of our ministry. I would like to conclude by stating that Sam will truly be an asset to any organization or project to which he becomes involved.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

John Varga

I welcomed the opportunity for Sam Angello to work with my company. Sam’s work with Varga Vision/Karaoke Station was well rounded and involved everything from sales, equipment and cables repairs , equipment installation and networking for sound, Lighting and video Systems, putting together the Pie Fight Film Festival as well as working on a variety of video projects.  Sam’s performance was stellar.  He was a consummate professional.  He was dependable, punctual and had a great sense of humor.  He always came to work with a smile on his face.

Sam’s knowledge of technology and of the equipment allowed him to work on projects with little supervision.  I felt very confident that Sam was able to get projects done effectively and efficiently as well as independently.  Sam was prepared everyday to rise to the challenges that each day brought.  Sam was a quick learner and a great salesman. While at the station he sold several large systems and booked several parties for both the karaoke rooms and the party room.

Sam helped put together some great marketing plans for the first Pie Fight Film Festival.  Besides designing the website, posters and business cards, he also visited college campuses, and film organizations to help promote it.  He also put together the workshops for the festival, especially getting Panasonic to come and talk about start to finish workflow.  He has also begun working on next year’s Pie Fight Film Festival.

Sam’s instinctive ability to see a problem dimensionally and resolve it quickly is something to see.  He has great insight and a wealth of knowledge.  He is wise beyond his years.  I hope Sam’s experience here was beneficial.  He would be a great asset to any firm.

Charlene Duncan

I have known Sam Angello for 16 years and have nothing but positive things to say. Sam Angello was a undergraduate student at Ashland University. His major was theatre technology, but he switched to Broadcasting Engineering courses, after I recruited him for the program in which I was teaching. There is no doubt in my mind that Sam will be an excellent addition to any program or business .Sam Angello has his own production company “Angello Productions.” He has installed his own studio and worked on several freelance jobs that include new technologies in broadcast media.

Sam has worked on projects with WJW Fox 8 with Chuck Schodowski & John Rinaldi and myself producing segments. In addition to installing broadcast equipment in several private and corporate entities used to live stream and use in post production to create programming. Sam has installed my home studio this past summer and I was very pleased with my “Chowmer Girl Productions” facility. He knew just what to purchase and tweak to get my operation up to live stream and edit in post productions. I have worked with many television broadcast engineers over the years in cable television, freelance, educational settings, and in network television. With how rapidly technology is changing, Sam enjoys and works hard in keeping up with today’s newest industry standards in professional production and broadcast installations. He is far above many broadcast engineers that do not update their knowledge in industry standards and new technology. Sam even has produced educational training videos for equipment. You will not be disappointed with his hard work, knowledge, and professional attitude and easy to understand technological explanations for incoming students in your broadcast engineering courses. I highly recommend him.  You will not be disappointed.

On behalf of Splash Media University, I’m proud to recommend Sam Angello, who achieved the designation of Certified Social Media Manager. I oversaw student progress in Splash Media U, and the successful completion of this program demonstrates not only the marketing skills Sam has acquired, but also the drive and determination that are essential in the field of social media. Congratulations and best of luck!

Roberto Sorgi

Sam started working with us during his senior thesis for his degree. He approached us about shooting a documentary about our families firework company. Sam was a pleasure to work with and made sure everything ran smoothly and efficiently. He spent a year working on the documentary and we grew to know him. After Sam finished the documentary me and my brother were getting married and we were both looking for videographers for our weddings. The first person that came to mind was Sam and he jumped at the opportunity to film our special days. Since then we have worked with Sam on many projects for our firework business. He has produced hundreds of YouTube videos for us, helped us with our website, and also has designed an integrated control systems for special effects shows. He has also helped with producing our annual demo  show and live streaming the event which is no small undertaking. Sam has shown a very good knowledge of how to integrate multiple systems together and optimize are stream for the best quality for our audience. Sam would be an asset to any business or company that he works for. He is a team player and always is looking for ways to help people learn to advance their knowledge.

Regional Emmys Committee Member

Sam worked with us to produce and design our regional Emmy awards. Sam went above and beyond to make sure that the show came in on budget. Sam used his skills in video, audio, and lighting along with that design to make sure all of the pieces flowed and work together. We were very impressed that the renderings Sam gave us looked like the actual show he produced. We were very impressed in how Sam presented himself professionally and took time to make sure everybody was on the same page during the whole process. There were several times where there were some technical glitches and Sam was fast acting to troubleshoot and resolve the problem. Sam demonstrated great team leadership, making sure each member of the crew understood their responsibilities. Sam did not hesitate to make sure everybody that needed extra help received it.

Dave Breen

“I hired Sam to produce 5 short videos intended to showcase my product line-up. Sam was a creative and professional from start to finish. Sam took the time to work with me on set, and his experience with video made for a smooth filming session.

Sam was able to edit through my poor takes and piece together videos that are second to none! I was thrilled with the outcome.

Sam’s pricing was very fair, and I would challenge anyone to find a better value for your money.”

Gregory Wilson, Videographer | Editor | Designer, Cuyahoga County ISC

Sam Angello performed exceptionally well during his internship.  Sam worked with the Cuyahoga County Information Services Center Video Dept. to help with production and post production or various video projects for other county agencies.  We were happy to have sam on board because he was a valuable resource to our team and he helped greatly with a number of our video projects.  One of the main projects that Sam worked on was  an instructional video for Cuyahoga County Board of Election’s Poll Workers.  Sam worked hard during the 3 video shoot dates and also with the Final Cut Pro editing.  Overall we were extremely satisified with Sam’s Knowledge of shooting video and his great ear for capturing the best possible audio during shoots and during post.

Sam’s wide range of knowledge of video technologies and equipment made it possible for him to work on projects with little or no supervision.  The best example of this was one morning we had to meet offsite to record some voice overs for a web presentation.  On the way to the meeting with the client and Sam, I got slightly lost and then was called back to the office to work on a project that was higher priority. While this this  obviously was the start to a small disaster, it turned out to be the opposite.  Sam was not only able to deal with the client and talent and setup the voice over recording on his own, he was able to record the required voice overs to the highest level of professional quality. To top that off, Sam’s extra effort continued when he processed the client picks in Apple’s Logic Sound program so, by the following Monday eh Voiceovers were ready for the client to review.  After reviewing the clips she was very happy with the results, quality, and commented on the professionalism and friendly attitude of our intern.  While this is just one example, Sam helped out repeatedly on shoots and even solely setup a multi-camera shoot doe a seminar we had to record, which allowed us to sync the timecode from the two camcorders in Final Cut Pro.  The ability to properly edit a multi-track shoot made it easy for us to ensure the viewer would not loose interest and helped greatly to improve the final edit.

Sam was great at critiquing work and provided constructive criticism to improve a project.  We also produced a TV commercial during the time that Sam was working with us.  One of the shots involved a Mother and her child in their kitchen, unfortunately the client chose the second take of approximately 80 takes.  The first five takes has come clipping on the voice track and it lead to some audio distortion.  After being unable to process the audio, Sam made a great suggestion to replace it with folly sounds of ehe same words from other takes.  Sam’s ability to quickly think of creative problem solving situations made it possible for us to implement an easy fix that greatly improved the professionalism of the finish production.

Todd George, Adjunct Instructor, Cuyahoga Community College

“Sam is an detail oriented visual artist. He was a joy to work with and teach. He was a quick learner when I taught him, and I am sure that at this point in his career he has developed an impressive skill set.”

Ryan Atkins, Freelance Video Production & Post-Production, Myself

“Sam is a detail oriented individual who strives for high results. His goal is always to create a product better or in line with what his clients ask of him.
He knows his equipment and software well and would be a great asset to any media/video department at a company or future clients.”

Matthew Chamberlin //Director of Theatre Arts, Garfield Heights High School

Sam Angello is an individual who is 100% dedicated to theatre and the performing arts. This is clearly his career and I expect him to be fully devoted to it for his entire life. It is not often when a person comes along who immerses himself so eagerly and completely in their field of study.

At Garfield Heights High School, I was able to observe his growth as a technical artist. I have seen him figure out complex lighting systems and completely wire sound systems on his own. His passion for lighting has extended into his personal life, and he owns a surprising amount of his own equipment. This is relevant because it demonstrates how much time and experience he has in the technical world of theatrical lighting and sound.

Having work with Sam personally for years, I know I can say that he will endeavor to the best of his ability to make your program a success. He will put in the time and energy it takes to fix problems and make sure things are done right. He will always be thinking of ways to improve any given technical situation. He will strive to impress you.
